· 2 years agoPretty Good Quality Comfortable Sounding Earphones
PROS:
~ Nice sound quality compared to the last generation of airpods
~ Fits ears just perfectly without falling out a bit
~ Cool design
~ Awesome new spatial audio just like surround sound which I always prefer
~ New side button presses for more control and convenience
~ Case supports wireless charging which is very convenient
~ Longer battery lifeCONS:
~ A bit pricier but with upgrades
~ Doesn’t have modern USB-C port and still uses old lightning portI would recommend this to anyone who can’t afford the airpods pro at the moment and looking at alternatives. This is as close as it gets and I’m very much satisfied with it.

· 2 years agoWorthwhile upgrade
Better bass response that previous model. Fit is fine just a bit more full than previous. Spatial audio (Dolby atmos) is pretty cool feature at times if your device is compatible – it’s pretty mind blowing effect to slightly turn your head while watching a movie & it sounds like audio is “in the room” (playing with room ambience – like you don’t even have headphones on). Spatial audio is not why I’d buy these as it has limited use but it’s a cool side feature at times. I would say the AirPod 3’s are 30% improvement over the AirPod 2’s … worth the upgrade IMO but just barely. I’m an AirPod fanatic and wear them most of my day for listening to YouTube or music.

· 2 years agofalls out of ears, other things good and bad
Wanted to like these. Tried. Couldn’t. I have used AirPod 2 and AirPod Pro. The 3’s fall out of my ears terribly especially if exercising, and felt too big/pressure. The airtag feature is cool, the sound is great when they stay in, along with improved battery life. The pinch feature like the AirPods pro is awful if your hands are wet or aren’t free to engage the tiny stem with fine motor skill. The “non-pro” of the AirPod 2 with tap tap is way better than the pinching. Returned these disappointed Apple didn’t product test better. Bought a new AirPod 2 for restored battery life on an otherwise very good product.

· 2 years agoMuch larger than gen 2
I ended up returning these as they were noticeably larger than the previous gen 2 airpods I owned. I had them in my ear for no more than five minutes before I began to experience some discomfort. I never had this experience with the gen 2 model. From what I’ve read online, half the people who try these seem to prefer them while the other half experiences some level of discomfort or pain. I wish Apple had kept the previous form factor with the tapered ends to accommodate a wider range of ears.
I think the shorter stems, sound quality, and battery life are all an improvement from previous generations. If the fit works out for you, they’re great. Just didn’t work for me personally.

· a year agoSounds great but these won’t stay put in my ears
I had just purchased the 2nd Gen AirPods (read my review titled “Why 2nd is always better than 3rd”) when I noticed that the 3rd Gen AirPods only cost 50$ more. Therefore, naturally, I purchased these. As soon as I tried them on, I know it wasn’t going to work because they would not stay put snuggly in my ears. The sound was discernibly better however that doesn’t matter if you can’t use them. I returned them the same day I received the shipment with the only cost being a car ride to the store. If these fit in your ears, then absolutely get them because you’ll enjoy the acoustics.

· 2 years agoNice upgrade from 1st generation.
I recently upgraded to the 3rd generation AirPods from teh 1st generation AirPods (accidentally crushed one AirPod). I have only been using the 3rd generation for a couple days, but they seem like a good upgrade from the 1st gen. Better sound, seem to connect and begin playing quicker than 1st gen. They fit my ears well, seem more comfortable than 1st gen, but those fit well and were pretty comfortable as well. I realize fit/comfort can be an issue depending on size and shape of an individuals ears, but they have always fit me well. Can’t say much about battery life since I haven’t used them very long. 1st gen. battery life was pretty good.

· 2 years agoMuch better than 2nd gen!
I picked up a pair of Gen 2 airpods a month back and found that I kept knocking them out of my ears. I have large ears so the previous airpod design was a loose fit but these fit muuuuch better and the shorter stems are great. I much prefer the pinch controls to the tap.
Most importantly the Gen 3s sound better. Period. The magsafe charging and lack of silicone tips are just icing on the cake for me. I am someone who cannot stand the feel of in-ear buds that block my ear. That is not an issue here. 5 out of 5 product in my opinion.Recommends this product✔ YesHelpful?

· 2 years agoToo large to my ear, hurts my ears
I had to shove it in a bit, and then the blocking of the outside world’s sound made my ear hurt after 20-30 minutes of using them. Overall, I just couldn’t use these bc of the pain of my head or the deeper part of my ears.
Sound quality is awesome, the music, the conversation in meetings. Ppl in my virtual meetings could hear my talking clearly even in a loud coffee shop – impressive microphone quality. I was talking for 3 hours. Battery life was much better than gen 2. But had to return bc of the ear pain even after weeks of getting adopted to them.
